Special Thank Yous to everyone that has taken the time to comment on my work. I do my art for others to enjoy and to know that is taking place is very inspireing. Your comment, positive or critical, may be the one the sends me back to the drawing board with renewed passion, so do leave your comments THEY ARE IMPORTANT.

I was born an artist. I can not remember ever not knowing this. My first commissioned piece was a pencil rendering of three dogs. I believe it paid $50. I was in 11th grade. I was awarded a partial commercial art scholarship out of high school. The significance of this opportunity eluded me at the time, thus not availing myself of all the information available to me, (regret)! Beyond this I have been self taught.

I did not decide to be an artist in so much as I have had to decide to keep developing my skills. The major part of my body of work has been commissions. I am now working on building a collection of artist owned pieces to have to exhibit. I will be taking some works to print as well as offer originals for sale as the collection grows. My husband and I own and operate a modest horse facility. Between us we have 5 children, most of which are grown and almost on their own. We own a wonderful draft mule named AnnaMae; she is 5 1/2 years old. A new addition to the family is a thoroughbred mare off the track named Ivy, I'm sure photos of her will be posted periodically. We also share our home with 3 cats and an adored borzoi dog named Kira. Residing in western NY as we do makes snuggling into the art room during the cold months easy to do.

A comment on the painted skulls. I was approched and encouraged to try this and see if there was a market for these. They are fun and a welcome break from the fine art work in that I find them alittle more crafty. Accepting comissons for skulls, you provide a cleaned skull. Occasionally some prepainted skulls will be offerd for sale.

I welcome inquiry into my work and commissions. Willing to share knowledge and experience based advice for what its worth.
