I was strictly a painter and sketch artist until about three years ago when I met a special girl, I was so taken with this young woman's beauty I instantly had the urge to photograph her. So the next day after first meeting her I ran up to our local super store and bought two of those junky throw away cameras. The next night I began taking photographs. Before her I had no real intrest in photography, I took a class in school but only because I thought it would be an easy A. She had awakend something in me and I have been hooked on photography ever since. After about a year of using the disposables I was given two old Pentax 35mm SLRs by my mother and began reading everybook I could find on the subject of photography. By the next year I started sharing my photographs and people seemed to like them so much so that they began to buy them. I still paint and sketch on a daily basis but photography has truely stolen my heart, I can't think of a better way to express myself at this point in my life. I am still very much a novice, but I am excited to learn, I am excited to see where photography takes me and I hope one day I can amount a huge catalog of my work for my loved ones to enjoy.
