The Spindle Crab burrows into the ground with it second mouth (right) and uses its long tongues that excrete a sticky sweet substance loved by smaller fish. When they venture to near the crab ensnares its prey and injects it with a paralizing venom and slowly digests the fish over the next week. The digesting fish causes gas to build once its gas bladders have filled the crab will jettison itself to a new hunting ground. Copyright R. Daniel Priest
