wow, amazing capture,so delicate and beautiful against the darkness of night.
Artist Reply: Thanks Ruth; appreciate comments! She was building her web on the end of my front porch and I was just fascinated with watching her work!
THE WEB AT DARK IS BEAUTIFUL, MARSHA. I DO NOT WANT TO LOOK TOO CLOSELY AT THE BLOB IN THE MIDDLE, THOUGH. I MIGHT SEE ALL THE LEGS. SHUDDER.
Artist Reply: Yeah, for years I thought the only good spider was a dead spider. Then I started photographing them. To show how I've changed in that area I recently found a black widow spider in my garage (panic mode still for her) and after taking pics drove her out into the country, took her into the woods where there were no barns, no houses, no structures, and set her free. I even took her egg sack with her so she could raise her kids. Am I soft-hearted or just plain nuts!
