Spotted Kingsnake we found in our yard. Drove him to a wooded area with a creek & let him go.

Artist Reply: They will strike at you so it was a bit scary but they don't really bite; that helps! Thanks for all your support!

Great captures of this snake. Hope that he is not poisonous.

Artist Reply: No, he's a spotted king snake. Had he been venomous I wouldn't have been lying on the ground with him taking photos; I'm not that brave! These guys will strike at you but are unlikely to bite. That's always good news!

Man you get beautiful shots. Makes me jealous. :)

Artist Reply: Thanks Barry; that's a wonderful compliment! You get some pretty good shots yourself. Your "What's This" was definitely one of a kind!

I love that snake!

Artist Reply: Thanks Karen! I thought he had great color. We've taken four snakes to the creek. They have to live somewhere & if I leave them here & my husband finds them, they're goners!

what a beauty!

Artist Reply: Thanks! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks they're unique & interesting creatures!

wow he is a big one!!! great capture. I don't think I would have waited around to get that close of a picture of a snake That big (compared to the little garter snakes I used to pick up and relocate as a child)

Artist Reply: After I caught him in a bucket, I poured him out in the yard so I could take pics. I took more when we dropped him off at his new home near the creek. In the past we've dropped off three spotted king snakes, one unknown black snake, a cottonmouth water moccasin & two black widow spiders. Thanks for stopping by; appreciate comments!
