No, he is not meant to be flown...though I'm terribly curious to see if he would... Kite, who's named so because of his shape really, is a wall- hanging piece made out of paper. Originally I was just going to have this folded flap of skin with a head but as I glued on the individually folded scales I realized the paper became too stiff for that and had to work around it. I added the tail and wings and cut into the square a bit to get a study of the things I think make dragons perfect: rhythm, symmetry, and contrast - all in a 35 x 41 x 3 inch figure. No color was added to intentionally demonstrate depth and texture...also, if I were to paint him in any way he'd buckle. So white he stays.
