Captain America

Captain America fights the Nazis in WWII. This was done as practice, way back in 1987. Lightboxed. Done with several types of brushes: Robert Simmons, Winsor-Newton, and different pen nibs and a Koh-i-noor technical pen for the shield and other hardware. Higgins black india ink. Colored in Photoshop, version 6, I think.

oy, one gets dizzy with all the details here ;). Very good, the angle/perspective, anatomy and shading. *stares and slowly puts thumbs up*

Wowza, you truly underscore King Kirby's grace! I havn't seen something like that since Ron Frenz. Love how Cap stands out with color. But strangely Bucky actually looks the best!

Kirby goodness

Josephine Roberts 21 Aug 2004

This is a great work and very traditional in style. I love the way the colors pull your eye to the right place. I would love to see more done with the colors though instead of flats.
