Artist Reply: Hi Ruth This was a commission from people just down the road from where I did a house portrait of a farm house a few years ago, they had seen the farm house one and decided I was the person to do their house portrait! Great! That is the type of commission I like! I did several studies on the spot and completed the work from those and the odd photo, plus I just live a few miles away so could go back to get other little details.
