Last year I created 'Birdy the Snowman' to put on the few Christmas cards I mail nowadays. This year, using the magnetic sketchpad, I came up with this. The title translates: "Happy tree-hat day!" :) This is a watercolor with a bit of brush pen and a seasonal example of Original Jones Art ho-ho-hoing in Austin, Texas..

Artist Reply: The one ear is on the other side, Elton. He's slightly handicapped but makes up for it with a great nose. Merry Christmas to you and yours, BTW. :)

This is great! Kinda Dali-esque!

Artist Reply: Sorry, Victoria, I'm usually on-the-ball when answering or replying to comments. It took a new December 2020 one for me to see this. Hope you are doing great though. :)

Kinds of a droopy eye under that hat!

Artist Reply: Amen, Brother! ;) Yeah, he's not been getting a lot of shut-eye, I'm thinking, Stanley. Hope you've been doing OK. :)

Awesome Work,in So Many Ways! Amazing Colors. Excellent Lighting

Artist Reply: Thank you, John. I appreciate the comment muchly. Been working on two canvases I'm not quite happy with as yet, so uploaded this seasonal w/c in the interim. I'm sure you are keeping those brushes of yours busy. :)

Great piece!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Heloisa! I may do more watercolor in 2015. Lots quicker and I'm all out of wall space. :) Hope you are doing great.

Enchante, mon ami!

Artist Reply: Merci, Emily! I dashed this off Sunday afternoon on 100% rag for a quick card image. I thought it came out OK. A co-worker bought a pack of 8 with envelopes, so it's the first card in history (for me) that actually paid for itself. :)

Another holiday masterpiece, very Dali-like...this is excellent Charles, and love the title! My best, Mark

Artist Reply: Thanks, Mark! Yes, I've been futzing with two paintings for much too long, so I thought I'd upload this since several folks here in Austin have liked it, The cards are all in the mail, so I'm ahead of the curve---for the moment. ;)
