i agree with everyone that it's a great piece. but what's with his left hand? maybe i'm looking at it wrong. i dunno. only thing that reall caught my eye as abnormal. that and the fact that his shoes look like they are made of different materials. amazing work as usual, though.

Artist Reply: hmmmm.. I guess you are right, that hand does look a bit odd. Hands have never been a strong point so thats why I keep trying. Check out some of my work at www.paper2pencil.com and look at HANDS. As you can see I'm trying. And as for his shoes, they are a dutch custom and looks like a cordoroy style material. They appear to be different because of the shadow. But all in all, his portrait stil remains one of my favorite. And by the way, I checked out what you have posted. Very nice. If you catch me online someday, lets chat.
