Synonyms for the catatonic state would be blank, empty, deadpan, expressionless, numb, stolid among others. Words are interesting. They are only meant to approximate something. There wouldn't be so many of them if they hit the nail on the head with every syllable, don't you think? This is a gel pen drawing on a 6 by 4 inches sheet of medium bond paper.
