Ginger,What a treasure you have here a Dragon fly with all its 4 wings stretched out Fantastic sitting on a Poppy Seed,The difference from a Damselfly ifs when it lands ,it keeps her wings to her side.If you want these terrific Guys around ,put a big bucket of water in your garden,it really attracts them as they will lay there larvae in there,These guys eat a lot of insects so beneficial .Fasinating how they hover back & Forth, even backwards. Its also amazing to see them catch there insects right in mid air with there legs. You have a Beautiful Photo here.Well done,,,,See what you get when you wait,,,,,that perfect picture.

Artist Reply: Hi! Glad you are back! Actually, that darning needle wanted that spot, it saw the camera, left for 3 seconds and sat again. I was lucky. It camouflages itself so well I could barely see it with the background and the sun in my eyes! Thanks for commenting.
