Fantastic photo MJ. People see just an old cut down tree stump, yet this stump is full of life. All the bugs ,and when it rots further, it will be the start of a new eco system.

Gorgeous Colours,this has been cut down for some time ,slowly rotting away,all the bark has been weathered away,wonderful green moss growing on the North side ,in a few more years everything will be eaten away from the inside eventually leaving bark & saw dust ,

Artist Reply: thank you AL .. This is why it is recommendd after cutting in the forests (here this is a forest of pines) that some trunks be left , they rot and serve as habitat for many insects
