Until the 1930s, Belgium had a few prestigious car manufacturers. Brands such as Imperia, Excelsior but especially Minerva were widely known for their style and reliability. Minerva could even compete with Rolls Royce. Many a king and prince could call themselves the proud owner of a Minerva Sedan, Convertible or Roadster. In the aftermath of the crisis in the 1930s the car manufacturers had a hard time and at the outbreak of the Second World War the Belgian car industry was on the brink of death . Today, these cars are a sought after, but expensive, object among car collectors. Image size: 260 x 360mm
