A “culture clash” combining the recognizable characteristics of a Japanese geisha (white face, kimono, stylized hairdo) with the colors, design elements, ethnic culture and exuberance of the Indian continent, and voilà—an Indian geisha. The original collage painting features an integral, permanently-attached black wood frame (shown below) with an additional elephant and colored and printed ribbons securing the canvas to the frame. The geisha’s face and hands are done in acrylic paint and acrylic ink, and her kimono, hair, hair ornaments and the artwork’s background are all paper collage, with fabric, and rhinestone trim.

Very well detailed, very uniquely created, and very interesting to view artistic creativity. :)
