Barber Shop

22x30 approx. watercolor, done as a class project in early 80's. Was never happy about it so cut it up into 4x6 squares so I could use the back for small sketches or practice peices.

So nicely done, an interesting everyday scene.

You might not have been happy with this one but I think it is fantastic. This makes me think of Ashland City TN just on the outskirts of Nashville. There was a barber shop there that I brought my boys to and they'd get a cut for get this....$3 and he would slip them a nickel for the gum machine! Obviously he loved his job. Most cuts were going for at least $8 in the area!
