The Color of Pomegranates

This work is a creative portrait of the Armenian film director Sergei Parajanov. The Color of Pomegranates is one of his most celebrated films. This film was dedicated to the life of an Armenian poet. Parajanov’s works are very figurative and non-linear in plot - like paintings of the Impressionists. He is a great frame artist. There is almost no dialogue in Parajanov's films. The filmmaker achieves the desired impact on the viewer solely with the help of a leisurely, enveloping atmosphere. He achieves it with the help of vivid visual images and colorful settings. On this graphic sheet we can see Sergei Parajanov, dressed in exquisite ancient clothes, against the background of various images that associatively refer us to his work. His right hand over his heart symbolizes the deep sincerity of his creative approach in cinema. Time passes, and his films still continue to delight modern film fans.
