I found this perfectly clear and undamaged lovely piece of glass in our dirt road last year. I was astonished that it was almost unmarked, still glossy, after decades buried in the road! Our road was deeply corrugated because we had a long drought spell from last Spring up until end of Autumn which meant that our road couldn’t be graded by the Council until rains came. Rain has now come. Anyway, I walk regularly and late in the day when the sun was lowered this glass shone. I’m a continual fossicker in my immediate area because my cottage is situated amid grain fields (not mine) on an acre property. The fields used to have houses on them in certain places, over a hundred years ago, so plenty of old marbles (my fav) and coloured china and glass etc. Neodymium glass is old style glass, and glows pink under UV light. Here, under normal light (lamp) neodymium glass can show gold lights and sometimes blue lights.
