I have painted the Tetons mountain 23 times. I became enamored with those mountains when I was a kid and saw "Spencer's Mountain", at the Norton AFB theater in 1963. The other reason I liked this movie was because the Spencer family and my own family were quite large and I saw similarities in both families. "The Walton's" television show was based on "Spencer's Mountain" written by Earl Hamner. I always liked wildlife and tall snow capped mountains. Later in the 1960's a television show came out called "The Monroe's" which was filmed in the Tetons National Forest. Other movies filmed in the Grand Tetons National Forest were, "Shane" starring Alan Ladd and "The Mountain Men" starring Charlton Heston and Brian Keith.
