An adult Tyrannosaurus rex hunting a juvenile Alamosaurus sanjuanensis while an adult male and female Alamosaurus sanjuanensis provide protection in a Late Cretaceous dried up riverbed. This artwork was completed in October & November of 2025 on a 16"x20" cold press illustration board using a combination of charcoal and graphite pencils. The dinosaurs were done in charcoal pencils ranging from HB to 6B while the dust was created with charcoal powder and a brush. The background was a combination of charcoal & graphite pencils and compressed graphite sticks. This artwork was published in the Prehistoric Times Magazine Issue #156 in January 2026. In addition, it was previously on display in the Virtual Paleoart Gallery curated by Extinct Fine Art. In addition, this artwork was accepted for the "Cowboys, Dinosaurs, and Outer Space" Exhibit at the HIVE Artspace in York, PA from August 7th through August 29th, 2026.
