In this watercolor I tried to depict not just a beautiful butterfly in flight, but the flight itself as a special state of consciousness and being. The butterfly's wings are open. They are like the morning sky - light blue, almost transparent, with thin veins, like the breath of dawn. Their cold heavenly lightness bursts into the background space, representing a multitude of multi-colored lights that can be perceived both as cosmic galaxies, and as luminous energy bodies of living beings, pulsating at different frequencies. Blue wings, according to legends, symbolize the sky of the soul - freedom, purity and fragility. In Eastern parables, they often represent the lightness of being, which does not hold for a single moment. In ancient philosophy, the soul, inspired by reason, strives upward - where there is neither fear nor time. This butterfly is the image of someone who has crossed the border between the earthly and the heavenly, was able to evolve by transforming his inner essence.
