This collage is based on my painting "Beauty of Eternity" (2011). I supplemented its main composition with fragments from different artworks dedicated to Egyptian theme and some others. So instead of the usual pyramid on the left, I put a pyramid with an image of Pharaoh Radames, buried alive with his beloved Aida. This element is borrowed from the illustration of the same name for the famous opera by Giuseppe Verdi, created by me in 2000. From my point of view, this plot is gaining its relevance in the context of the "Black Lives Matter" movement again. The space to the right of Nefertiti's head is filled with a mirrored fragment of "Secret Of The Sphinx" (2016). The Guardian of Eternity gazes at the viewer with a calm, majestic gaze. He holds many secrets that only the initiated are supposed to know. The rainbow motif present in the original work is complemented by two other rainbows emanating from the shells like recycled jet fuel escaping from a rocket engine. In addition to their spiral shape, symbolizing development and the golden ratio in nature, the shells are a reminder that the deserts in the distant past were the bottom of the sea. Rainbow, from one point of view, expresses the limited spectrum of frequencies that humans are able to perceive and, therefore, their imperfection compared to the ancient gods. From another point of view, being fuel for the shell, symbolizing life, it emphasizes that light, as a divine phenomenon, is the source of this life and the instrument of creation. These shells are taken from the 1990 painting of the same name. The hourglass, of course, speaks of the limited time of incarnation and inevitable reincarnation. The upper left corner is filled with a fragment of "Angels Of Time" (2002). It depicts gears, likening the world to a clock, functioning with mechanical inexorability. The main character of the work looks at us from the depths of centuries straight into our souls, awakening something deep, hidden from ourselves.
