GREAT CAPTURE CERVANTES. I DO HOPE IT ISN'T THE ONE DESTROYING THE MAPLE TREES. YOU SHOULD HAVE IT LOOKED AT TO BE SURE. IF IT IS THE PROPER PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW.

I recognized it as a weevil straight away but it took a bit of internet scouring to determine what variety, Mr. Wu. It is the Knapweed Root Weevil or Cyphocleonus achates. They are rather large for weevils, it seems. Hope this helps. It's a great shot too. :)
