In this recent acrylic painting (large 3 feet by 4 feet) i place my face in the center of the work but create a world of insects, animals, and landscapes that surround my face and actually become one with my face. I have placed hidden whales, snakes, and other animals around the stone walls, fences, and overall landscape. My face in the center becomes a structure like a mountain or housing structure that melds into everything around it. I wanted to convey my love of life and the universe in a surreal abstract interpretation. Again, my camera is not getting these sharp enough. I will upload a sharper image soon.
