This is a 16x20 pastel I did of a friend. She sat for me, but in the middle of the session, she decided she's prefer her portrait to show her smiling. Pastel is a forgiving medium, thank goodness, or I'd have had to begin all over. She liked the end result, which is what matters, anyway.
