this is nice....you should specify what type of paint you've used because that really adds to the description for texture and translusency. Back to the image: it has a good working composition which flows nicely around the piece. The colors work for me and seem muted because of the extensive use of black and white to define space. This works for me though, I use a lot of black and white myself it adds a certain element to the colors, enhancing them sepending on placement.
