(C) 2002 Elton Houck. 24" X 36" Museum- wrap stretch canvas. Oil painting without using brushes...all the paint was squeezed directly out ot the tube and on to the canvas, and it was not mixed about but remained where it fell guided by the artist's hand and eyes. Yje painting was ordered by a patron of mine in Washington, D.C. It took 4 womths in order for it to dry enough to ship. The photo shows the art work propped up on an underlying blank white canvas. That was the only way I could position this wet canvas to photgraph the work...the blue smug running off the paining is a slight touch of paint to the blank canvas it is sitting on. Warning to all artists, if you try this method, be ready for an exteneded drying period for the piece.

Thanks for the advice but I will stick to brushes. I don't have the kind of patience to wait for this method to dry. The face looks familiar.
