This tree invited me for a hug, it was so comforting and old. It sits on top of a hill, and when Knor climbed to the top, she could see the dunes near the north of the Northern Island of New Zealand. Trees are very sensitive to their environments. Scientists found that they can actually feel what happens to other living beings around them. All the more reasons to treat them well!

Incredibly beautiful photo. When my kids were young, their favorite book was "The Giving Tree"and I think it helped made them much more sensitive to the environment as adults..Randy Kroll 16 Jan 2006
