Olivet Chapel, Pineville (2006) (Gifted)

The Olivet Chapel is one of the rare antebellum sturctures in Central Louisiana. Both Alexandria and Pineville were burned to the ground by retreating Union forces under General Banks. The "accidental" fire destroyed nearly everthing except the Kent House and the Olivet Chapel (being used as a stable for Union horses). This lovely complex will now be restored after receiving a donation from an anonymous local citizen.
