This is a painting I did of San Xavier del Bac Mission, near Tucson. It was build 2oo years ago. The outside is still under restoration, so fo now, I can only paint parts of it. I used an upward angle to focus on a window on the front of the mission. I used my wacom tablet & stylus pen (hooks up to computer) to paint this while looking at a photo I took for reference. Started with a blank canvas/screen, not a manipulated photo. I used airbrushes, pastels, and blending tools to create this look of a pastel work. Below is the photo I used as reference. I like to take my own photos if possible for stock photos for my art.

Dear Terry The photograph is superb! Sometimes it is better to let things be simple and speak for themselves. In summary, your photographic composition doesn't need any assistance. If I was to suggest anything, why don't you render it in B&W and see how that looks. regards JohnAngela Francis 01 Jun 2006
The reference photo is nice, but I must say that I prefer your painted version. Excellent work Terry!Ralph Miller 22 May 2006
Wow Awesome job. I have tried pastels, but can't get the hang of it. So stay with oils. (lol)tazda lawson 01 May 2006
