I don't know how you do it Michael - I can't even pick up a pastel without breaking it and going ick, ick, ick at the way it feels - though I do understand that there are pastel pencils, but I always press too hard and break 'em off and next thing you know they're sharpened down to nubs - good job I found the Mac all those years ago, eh? Great Image and the lighting is fanblinkingtastical!!! :0)
It's an oddly compelling choice of subject. Quite intriguing and nicely done!
Artist Reply: Thank you, Betty. It is somewhat peculiar, given that it could have been presented more aesthetically I suppose, but I found it compelling, as a scene, just the way it looked.
But if you find this one "oddly compelling" you should see "American Gothic #6. Maybe that one is just "odd." (I don't think that's posted here, but can be found on my website, at Artinsight.com)
Beautiful work, Michael! Great colors and lighting! Great atmosphere!
Artist Reply: Thank you, Anne. The atmosphere and lighting is what this one is all about. Well, that, and the existential journey (one of many) across America.
