Integrity

A nearly forgotten virtue, integrity languishes at the borders of credulity, remarking only to the sky and hills, but solidly constructed for a lifetime of service. image size: 10.5 x 14.5" (27 x 37cm) Corporate Collection) © 2000, Michael Cook

Very romantic, somber painting. I love the feeling of "home" that you've captured.

This watercolor is superb, Michael! There are mountains where I live too.... Ozarks, and Ouachitas. Cannot login to AW for some reason, altho I am a member. Julie Mayser

This looks like the heavenly foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains in the heart of my proud southern roots! You've captured the roving hazy fields of a hot summer dawn nestled in the deep country coves of this wonderous paradise. Simply lovely.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Tracey. I love the Smokies, but this is actually part of the northern end of that same chain, the Appalachains, in western Massachussets, the Berkshires. Not as dramatic as the Smokies, but very pleasant, nevertheless. Enjoy the beauty in your local mountains!

Just as quality is never noticed unless it is missing, Integrity might be the most humble and hidden of human qualities... a perfect expression of a perfect title... thank you
