I had technical difficulties with my underwater housing and spent the better part of the afternoon repairing it. Once I had it ready to go back underwater, I put in the garage next to the dive gear and walked out the garage door to cacophony of outraged grackles, blue jays, and mockingbirds trying to run off a red shouldered hawk that had taken a neighborhood mockingbird as a prey item. I couldn't believe my luck, a hawk eating its dinner less than twenty yards away, however it meant I had to break down my underwater housing to get the 500 mm lens on the camera to take the shot.
