Whenever we hike to the Carbon Glacier we are always joined for lunch by the larger of the two ravens. I am assuming he is male and only occasionally he brings his girlfriend. I didn't realize how large this bird is until he was a couple of feet from my boots. His beak is 4 inches long and he is very good at busting up peanuts. He fills up his throat, flies across the river and then comes back for more....

Hello Sister, how are you? Great to hear from you again. I hope you are well. What have you been doing lately? I love these birds. Great shot. How can you tell the difference between a Raven and a Crow? I don't know, do you? Been thinking of you and never have forgotten you. Have you been on many hikes lately?
