Re-Being

Because I lived in the closest residential structure to the World Trade Center on 9/11, I spent a lot of time trying to work things out in my head, long after the event. This series of abstract watercolors is one of the results.

Great art out of the devastation - its a healthy thing that your artwork is your release.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Joseph. Well, I try to use it for that release... it's better than most things I've used!

NIce to know that such horrible times inspired such beautiful work - wonderful!

Artist Reply: Thanks, Pat. I try always to "convert" and transmute those energies into something inspirational--or at least enlightening. (That's one of the reasons this series took so long to pull together.) I'm glad it arrived for you!
