Michael u have a gift of god to be able to create such a beautiful work...

Artist Reply: Thanks, Bianca--and everyone who commented on this. I think real artists try to do "god's work" by putting something out there in front of people's noses to make them see, or sense, something of what God put there in the first place... Only humans tear it down, it seems. This is an example--not of tearing down completely, but if you saw what replaced parts of this beauty, you'd probably be appalled. I know I was! Then again, humans built it in the first place, and shone their light on that grand day it was fulfilled. We are all just passing by... but some of us take time to notice these things, and record them.

I envy a pastel with straight lines!!! And what a beautiful sky - great job, Michael!

Artist Reply: Thanks, Regina. The funny thing about this one, and those "straight lines" is that I did a distortion on this, at Artinsight.com, where the lines of the buildings bend inward, following the pattern that's begun here--as you can see! LOL But if you like "straight line pastels" take a look at another listed here, "Time and Motion Study"--which I like more, and which actually HAS straight lines! :)
