Omy...watercolr too...very impressive work...I like the circular format and all the textural implications...I had a dream like this once, similiar...like I was looking in to a place such as this...it was so sad and dirty and the light of the fires did not bring hope only sorrow, the worst part was there was children there...that puzzled me and the people were naked and coverd with soot and even though fires burned they were cold...Incredible work, Michael. I hope my soul never ends up here although I thought I was in hell on earth many times...but I pray and believe in Christ and his grace so...Well, God be with us all. Lots of love to you Man. Sincerely CB
Artist Reply: I guess we are all led to see what we need to see... My feeling is that earth is what we make it, heaven/hell--or maybe even just our private Purgatory... There may be no other heaven and hell except right here.... Thanks for your comments, Christine.
I completely agree with Lauren. What a wonderful and provocative piece of fine art. I am so sorry you do not have this as your own.. it's obvious this has your heart and soul encompassed inside.
Artist Reply: Thanks, Tracey... As this one will always reside in my heart and soul, I guess the concept of "ownership" is somewhat irrelevant, eh? (We're all learning and evolving, on this curvature of space, on this earth plane, encompassed "inside"...) I really appreciate your vision and perception!
This is beyond words for me... I don't know what to say other than what profound and genuis work.
Artist Reply: Whoa... I guess this qualifies as the very best comment I've ever received on a work posted here. Thanks so much, Lauren!! (And delightfully, it comes on a piece that I feel is one of my very best.) After all these years and hundreds of paintings since, it is still one of my most cherished works. My only regret is that, due to some financial desperation at the time, I sold it long ago for far less than it was worth--and couldn't afford to buy it back today at five times its original price. I'm so glad that you appreciate it as much as I do, Lauren. Bless you!
