Good luck, birdie! :-)

© 2006 Armando Salas. --- This birdie made my day :-))) Morenita is a temible huntress. Every day she gets her trophy: birds, mice, moles... Every day! Today she got this lil' bird but I took this wonderful creature from her jaws without damage. I just took this photo and... fly, little bird! Good luck!!!. Today is a beautiful day, fly in freedom, fly in Peace...

Lucky bird! Cats are such good hunters, it's a wonder our birds that come to our feeders have survived the umpteen thousand feral cats that wander our neighborhood. :P

Morenita is so pretty, but I'm glad you were there and rescued the bird from her.

Awe how sweet Armando you saved the tiny little bird and it was able to fly freely away. I love how it looks so content in your hands. Sure your little black kitty there scared it to almost a sure death. I can only imagine how my own black kitty would be bringing me these precious creature trophies if she was outside, I guess I will just enjoy her occasional coca roach she kills. To me that's not as bad as killing a little bird, mouse or other little creature.

A wonderful photograph and story Armando. My cat did the same a couple of weeks ago. I also succeeded in saving the very youngt bird. I fed her and she grew and became a happy bird, but............ One night one of my cats came sneeked in my livingroom, where I kept her. The cat hided himsellf until I went to bed. Later on the night my grandson heard a loud meow. The cat ran out of the livingroom and a couple of hours later I found a dead bird. The way the cat behaved it was very clear that he knew that he mis behaved.
