This is the first painting in a new series I am working on. In this work I am exploring, or rather trying to explain internal self: coming to the realization, getting to know yourself, learning how to live with yourself, listening to yourself, following your instincts, and the emotions that come with it. I have been nursing this idea for almost a year taking photos and doing a lot of thinking. I am still not sure whether I will be able to pull this all out. But there is no say without trying right? To create the painting I took photos of myself for reference. The background of the room is just my imagination. In my next painting I am using three reference photos, two of myself and one of a landscape for the background. I hope you find this idea interesting and enjoy the paintings as they come along.
