There is a society where everyone reads all day and then dreams about what they've been reading. The books aren't fiction, though, they are the real world...like humans, aliens, the universe, everything. Each individual reads about a different culture. They only have two laws: It is forbidden to write, and it is forbidden to read the book of their own culture.
