Interesting piece. Definately unique. I like it although I think it would be better if the animation didn't keep jumping back to it's start point. It keeps pulling my eye back in that direction and discourages the viewer from scanning the rest of the portrait. It would look better if the rotating elemant continued moving fluidly around the face or eye focal point.
