Room With A View

Young woman standing in sunlit doorway overlooking coastal scene. I guess the question is whether she's contemplating leaving or something far less dramatic like just relishing the spectacular view and surroundings.

Amazing, what pastels are they Tom.

Artist Reply: I use a combination of pastels, mostly Rembrandt for their color and coverage capability and Nupastels because they're easy to sharpen to a point allowing for fine detailed work. The paper is also important. I use(d) Pastel Deluxe, only available at NY Central Art Supply in NYC. Unfortunately, the people who created that particular paper have stopped. Finding a replacement won't be easy.

This is amazing pastel work, Tom!!! Do you use soft or oil pastels??

Artist Reply: Thank you for your kind words. I use soft or dry pastels. Oil pastels wouldn't fit my style as I do a lot of blending during the painting process.
