I have no doubt they look better in the real world Karen, but that just means they're slightly better than perfect from here. Not sure how to help you with the scanner. I'd try lowering the scan quality first, it maybe that on the current setting too much detail is being picked up. If that doesn't help maybe try the other direction. Your work is stunning either way.
This is precious, Karen. Is is really computer/digital? It look so much like colored pencil. I DO like the graininess, it almost makes it look like stippling.
