Beautiful little wood ducks! We had 14 one year in our yard as their mother panicked after they jumped out from the nest- they floated down! so light and fluffy , it was amazing to watch them fall 35 ft without getting hurt,,,the mother then tried to get them to follow her, but we were several blocks from the river- so she left them! We gathered them up- so tiny!- and the game commissioners came to bring them to a farm to raise them.. little duckings are soooo cute--- this is a great close up shot!
