After Hurricane Katrina, there were a lot of logs in the yard. Dustin took one of them and carved this figure into it with a hatchet.

love how he worked the grain of the wood into the character of the face. out of distruction comes new life and beauty.

Reminds me of the "tiki" dolls of the 60's. Looks cool. I'll have to post a picture of my totem pole I've been neglecting to finish.
