Freedom

Before my birth my soul soared exempt from hindrance and restraint, free from the imprisonment of self. Through pain and discomfort I was born into a material world filled with a constant frantic pursuit of acquisitions. A world that professed the more one acquires the better off one will be. With these limited aims I began my pursuit of goods and services. I attempted to satisfy this hunger for these possessions believing in what I had been told by the salesmen of these fictitious myths. With these limited goals I had limited aims. Not realizing that no one can achieve happiness by seeking that which can never be achieved. The more I had, the more I wanted. The result was slavery. A slavery to the very thing that I was told would set me free. I had inadvertently disregarded the importance of the Infinite by my pursuit of the material. By losing the link to the Infinite I began losing myself. Then I saw in Nature the freedom I desired. It galloped up to me, in front of my very gaze, inviting me to ride to a new freedom. A freedom from want. It was Nature that first set me free. It was in this cathedral of Nature that I found my way back to the Infinite. visionary imagist "Joey"

Your words are as amazing as your art! This horse is so wonderful! I believe the horse "came to you " so I posted a tidbit from the horse animal totem but I have a feeling you may already know! Sorry about the length again!****************** Horses give their riders the safety of speed and the promise of adventure. Natives tribes used the horse to run, fight, send messages, hunt and move their villages quickly. The horse carried people and their belongings into new uncharted territory and the challenges that it held. If horse has come to you, you are being offered a gift of safe movement. Is there somewhere that you want or need to go? Horse can help you get there, whether the place is physical or spiritual. Is their a new venture you want to undertake? Call on horse to help you create it. Are there challenges in front of you that you dot want to deal with? If so, the horse asks you to awaken your inner power and move forward with courage.

Artist Reply: Jessica: I really appreciate your comments. I love these stories. There length is of no consequence, as a matter of fact, they are quite compelling reading. Really, thank you for taking the time to share them with me. I do enjoy reading them. Again thank you.

Joey, salesmen promise us and want to sell to us "happiness". As we buy this or that than we will be happy. But we buy only empty illusions and we do not get what we really want. The real thing. Nauture let us see and experience real happiness and it is all free! This beautiful horse is a great symbol for true Freedom.

Artist Reply: Gabrielle: I always await your words with great anticipation. You have innate ability to see deep within the world's heart and soul. Your art reflects that spirit as well. Thank you for sharing with me your insights.

Anneke Hut 29 Sep 2007

This white horse is the symbol for freedom as the white pigeon for peace and the white rose for purity are, wonderful symbols and a beautiful painting you've made of it, Joey. The key to total freedom is to be without desire. A wise man said, our ultimate freedom is the right and power to decide how anybody or anything outside ourselves will affect us. I think he was very right.

Artist Reply: Anneke: How true your words are. It is not what happens to us that matters it is how we react to what happens to us that counts. Your profound insights are deeply appreciated and admired by this simple artist. Thanks for sharing with me my friend.
