Spoilt for Choice

I am interested in the idea of a still life being an artificial arrangement. I piled all the objects as randomly as possible and am asking you to make your choice and to consider why?

I think I could look at this piece for a long time! I keep finding new areas to concentrate on... I really like the skull next to the doll, it strikes me as funny!

First of all, this is a brillient concept and arrangement. well done! Secondly, I would choose the Paints and Brushes, because its a represention of creativity which I'm lost in right now. If I could have a 2nd choice, then it would be the flowers as thats what I'm experimenting with at the moment.

Artist Reply: thank you Melanie. It amazes me how quickly people respond to work. I originally intended this work to be huge- 2metres X 1.5 metres and absolutely covered with objects but when I drew it up each object was too big. This work is less than half that size. I just didn't have enough stuff to make a bigger pile. I might have another go next year. I'm working toward an exhibition (my first!) called Entangled at the moment and this didn't fit in unfortunately.

BRILLIANT!! I love it!--

Good grief!! How long did this take you?! It's amazing!

Artist Reply: Thanks Cathy. It took me about 5 days, although the last session was 13 hrs! It is quite a large canvas (about 120cm x 80cm) and the brushwork is broad. There are about 3 layers. It looks more detailed because it is so small on the screen.

Oh wow Lyn...absolutely outstanding work! I choose the book because I think it's a Bible! Awesome...love this work! Pic of the day for me!

Artist Reply: Thanks Ruth I've never been pic of the day before - what a thrill.
