Saint Stephen

ACEO, 2.5 x 3.5 inches, watercolor and gouache, November 2007 St. Stephen is known as the first martyr. He was tried for blasphemy against Moses and God. He had preached the teaching of Jesus around Jerusalem. He was stoned to death by a mob led by Saul (later to become St. Paul).
