My entry for the EBSQ Portait Swap 2007, a watercolor portrait of fellow EBSQ artist Elizabeth Fiedel. I decided to keep the portrait fairly straightforward - to concentrate on likeness and character, as that is what I found the most interesting and challengng part of a portrait (though I enjoyed painting the fabric of Beth's dress too). The background colour was chosen to echo Beth's own paintings.
