Since a kid, I've always been fascinated by the Moai statues of Easter Island. These stone faces have always been intriguing to me as well as intimidating. Hence, my inspiration for this image!! Hope you like. ~S

Seen a documentary by my pastor. A woman archeologist and language expert details in her book of evidence throughout Polynesia of an ancient Pacific ocean wide empire that once had one single tongue (language). Then after it broke up the individual islands language changed over time independent of each other to what they each speak today. And how Matis (?) the great euopean artist moved to the islands and took a wife who was a decendant of the ancient kings,...and he,...in his writings,...knew of this evidence. i could get the title of the book if your interested. ,....very cool artwork Steve!!!Joke Schotting 04 Dec 2007
